Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge ‘protects baby’

Duchess of Cambridge

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge is seemingly “standing her ground” when it comes to her unborn baby.

Catherine is seven months pregnant with her first child with husband Prince William. The pretty royal has revealed her intentions to move in with her mother Carole Middleton once the baby arrives, which apparently goes against royal protocol. Although Catherine is happy to embrace her role as future queen and play by the rules, she is adamant that motherhood will be something she is in complete control of.

“There would’ve been long meetings at the palace about it, but Kate’s standing her ground,” a source told British magazine Look. “Kate’s a normal girl at heart, and this is her first baby. Like every girl, she’s obviously nervous about becoming a mother and wants her own mum on hand. Princess Diana stayed at Kensington Palace and later admitted to being lonely there. Kate won’t want that, but there’s more involved – when it comes to her child, Kate’s a lioness. She’s putting her foot down so everyone knows she won’t have parenting choices dictated to her. I think they would’ve been leaning on her heavily, saying that isn’t the ‘done thing’ to keep the heir away from the palace.”

A new bill was recently passed in the UK to allow the couple’s baby to ascend to the throne, even if it’s a girl.

Catherine was thrilled by the decision and is looking forward to giving her child as normal an upbringing as she can.

“I think the palace would’ve felt this new law makes it even more important that the baby is under their sphere of influence in London. But Kate was obviously immovable,” the source added. “This bill was something she’s spent six months fighting for to protect her child, and now she’s won that battle she must feel invincible. She’s been the model future queen in so many ways. It’s up to her and William to do what’s best for him or her. I think Kate wants to provide the most normal upbringing possible by moving home.”

Catherine has also reportedly caused a stir by insisting she “doesn’t see the point” of hiring a nanny. The 31-year-old brunette has set views on parenting, and her resolute attitude is believed to have impressed William.

“She and William want to be hands-on parents. Kate also has family to help her – not to mention Uncle Harry, who’s looking forward to babysitting!” the insider added. “I think he’s in awe of her. She’s heavily pregnant and when a lot of people would be too exhausted to argue, Kate’s stronger than ever. She’s clearly made him braver, too.”
