Britney 'wants ex ordained'
Britney Spears is reportedly hoping her ex-husband will get ordained and marry her and her boyfriend.
The 31-year-old singer has been dating David Lucado for eight months and recently spoke of how in love they are. There is speculation the pair could tie the knot next year, with Britney apparently already thinking about the kind of day she would like.
The star married Kevin, who she has two sons with, in 2004 but they split two years later. He has now happy with his wife Victoria Prince and Britney wants to ensure their civil relationship lasts the distance.
"People don't realise that Britney has a great sense of humour, but on this occasion Kevin's not sure she's joking," an insider told British magazine Heat. "She thinks it would be a great way to unite their families, especially as Kevin and David are friends. They've even played golf together."
Although it's not completely clear whether the plan will go ahead, Britney has been working hard to show Kevin she wants to remain friends. She has even forged a solid relationship with Victoria, who Kevin has a daughter with.
"She wants them to be a united family. She's being super-friendly right now, and even calls Kevin's wife Victoria regularly," the source explained.
Britney and Kevin got engaged just three months after they started dating and wed shortly afterwards. In her documentary 2008 documentary Britney: For the Record the star admitted she rushed into the union without thinking things through properly.
"I think I married for the wrong reasons," she said. "Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything."
