Brooke Mueller has completed rehab and is ready to see her sons.

The 36-year-old ex-wife of Charlie Sheen has been released from an outpatient rehab facility in California. She is preparing to reunite with Bob and Max, her four-year-old twin sons with the actor.

Although Brooke has finished her treatment, she will not immediately get custody of the boys. Instead she will have three days a week monitored visitation with them.

“Social workers from the Los Angeles County of Department of Children and Family Services recommended that Brooke be allowed to have increased visitation,” an insider told Radar Online.

“She will have visits with Bob and Max twice during the week and once on weekends. Brooke had wanted overnight visits and pushed hard for no supervision from a monitor, but that request was denied, at this time. The agency didn’t feel she was ready to have the boys on her own, just yet.”

Brooke was admitted to rehab in May 2013 after being put on an involuntary hold following a crystal methamphetamine overdose. As a result, she lost custody of her children. Charlie’s ex-wife Denise Richards took care of Bob and Max while Brooke was in rehab.

There is still hope for her to regain custody of the kids, if she maintains her sobriety.

“Brooke will appear in front of the judge to discuss her progress in her recovery and the next steps as far as custody of the boys will proceed,” a source previously said.

“It’s looking like if Brooke stays on track, she could get the boys back by Christmas.”
