Bunton leaves Dancing On Ice panel

Emma Bunton is to leave ITV1's Dancing On Ice after two years on the judging panel.

The former Spice Girl said she wanted to focus on her upcoming projects, including a children's clothing range, as well as her radio show.

Emma said she would miss the show but had to "prioritise" her workload.

She joined in 2010 - replacing Ruthie Henshall - and had previously showed her own fancy footwork as a contestant on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing.

Emma, 35, is soon to launch a baby and children's range after striking a deal with catalogue firm Argos, and she will be involved with the launch of the musical Viva Forever! - based on the songs of The Spice Girls and written by Jennifer Saunders - in the West End next year.

She will also guest in the revived Absolutely Fabulous to be screened soon by the BBC.

Emma - known for many years as Baby Spice - said: "I loved working on Dancing On Ice - it was so much fun and I love the team.

"I made this decision as I have to prioritise all the exciting projects lined up for me next year, as well as my Heart Radio show, and juggle these with being a busy mum. I wish everyone on the show the best of luck."

There has been speculation that fellow Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner may be leaving the series.

And presenter Holly Willoughby is being replaced by Christine Bleakley, in the wake of her departure from Daybreak. Holly has left to present BBC1's The Voice in the new year.
