Bynes’ housing ‘finalised’
Amanda Bynes has apparently moved into a hotel in Glendale, California after a brief couch surfing stint.
The 28-year-old actress’ living arrangements have been up in the air of late, with photos surfacing of her asleep on a shopping mall couch as she claimed her parents were refusing to give her money for accommodation. Now she’s reportedly been set up in a Glendale, California hotel.
"Housing was finalised Thursday," Access Hollywood was apparently told by Amanda’s pal. "Amanda’s preference is in West Hollywood where she can be near her friends."
This was reportedly confirmed by the Easy A star’s representative David Esquibias as well as her mother Lynn Bynes’ spokesperson.
Her request to be in West Hollywood was denied. Glendale is a much more low key and family friendly neighbourhood of Los Angeles, and her family is said to approve of the area. According to TMZ, her parents wanted to keep her out of the middle of Hollywood as they felt the area would encourage bad behaviour.
Prior to this new arrangement, Amanda was sleeping on a friend’s couch in West Hollywood. She was also offered a place to stay by Heidi Montag, but seemingly never followed it up.
Meanwhile, TMZ is also reporting Amanda showed up at Los Angeles tattoo parlour The Honorable Society on Tuesday evening asking to get her neck inked. She apparently wanted to get a tattoo of a 19-year-old man named Caleb who she was previously said to be engaged to. However, she left after they asked her for identification and she failed to provide it.
The star was released from a psychiatric facility on October 30. She then embarked on a number of Twitter rants accusing her parents of abuse and even claiming she had bipolar disorder and manic depressive disorder. These tweets have since been deleted. Currently, her legal conservatorship is divided between her mother and a professional conservator. The latter party will handle her day-to-day finances.
