Bynes: I fell asleep in a mall
Amanda Bynes fell asleep on a couch at Los Angeles shopping mall the Beverly Center, claiming she had no money to pay for a hotel.
The 28-year-old actress recently came out of rehab due to emotional troubles and self-described “bipolar disorder”. She now claims her parents Lynn and Rick Bynes, who have conservatorship over her finances, didn’t give her enough money for a hotel, meaning she was forced to nap at Los Angeles shopping spot the Beverly Center.
Photos of the Easy A star fast asleep behind a pair of sunglasses were obtained by TMZ. Amanda followed this up with a series of explanatory tweets.
“I was not given money for a hotel so i have been staying with friends and i didn't get enough sleep last night so I fell asleep on a couch @ the beverly center and a paparazzi snuck in and took pictures of me FYI ! (sic),” she wrote on the social networking site.
Amanda’s parents were granted control of her money on October 22. This happened as Amanda was in and out of psychiatric care, most recently leaving a Los Angeles facility on October 30.
This week, she tweeted her alleged diagnosis, but later deleted the post.
“I was diagnosed bi - polar and manic depressive so I'm on medication and I'm seeing my psychologist and pyshchiatrist (sic),” she had written.
She also noted she did not wish to stay with her parents. On account of this, Amanda has reportedly been seen wandering around West Hollywood without anywhere to go.
“I hate my parents for still not giving me money for a hotel,” she also tweeted on Thursday.
“What is wrong with them? My lawyer is working to have them fully removed from being my conservator, because they don't deserve control over my money - They are miserable in their life and I will fight to get control of my finances taken away from them ! (sic)”
The actress’ mother apparently plans to insert a professional conservator to take care of her daughter’s day-to-day needs, People is now reporting. However, she will allegedly try to keep herself as conservator over the majority of Amanda’s finances.
