Bynes ‘reconnected’ with estranged family

Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes reportedly got in touch with her parents after not being on speaking terms for quite some time.

The 27-year-old former television star has won headlines over the past several months for posting worrying messages and photos of herself on Twitter.

A family member revealed to In Touch magazine recently that the star’s loved ones viewed her antics as “tragic”.

But according to the publication Amanda was “completely resisting any help that her family wants to give her”.

Apparently she is now open to support from her milieu.

“Amanda reconnected with her parents this week and it was a really positive talk on both ends,” a source told Radar Online.

“Her parents are good people who are genuinely concerned for her. And Amanda misses them, so she finally called them up.”

Amanda has been residing in New York City for several months.

It is rumoured she is resisting the Hollywood spotlight at all costs.

“The last place Amanda wants to be is Los Angeles. She likes New York and doesn’t want to leave,” the insider said.

“But Amanda’s parents really want to see her so they’re thinking of flying out to New York as early as next week.”
