Caitlyn Jenner offered £1 million to star in Celebrity Big Brother - report

The 67-year-old reality star, formerly known as Bruce before beginning her transition into a woman in 2015, has recently been hitting headlines with her autobiography The Secrets of My Life.

Caitlyn Jenner has reportedly been offered a staggering £1 million to take part in this year's Celebrity Big Brother

The 67-year-old reality star, formerly known as Bruce before beginning her transition into a woman in 2015, has recently been hitting headlines with her autobiography The Secrets of My Life.

Confessions in the tome include the allegations that her now ex-wife Kris Jenner knew of her gender identity struggles before they became intimate - a claim that has led to a massive rift in the Kardashian/Jenner family.

It's this openness and ability to cause a stir that Channel 5 bosses are keen to embrace for the new series of their reality series, and they have apparently attempted to lure her with a massive pay packet.

"The bookers are really keen to have Caitlyn in the house," a source told the Daily Star newspaper. "They know she’d be TV gold so they’re prepared to break the bank for her.

"The world has been fascinated by Caitlyn’s story and getting her would push ratings through the roof."

Other stars linked to the upcoming season of the show include American former wrestler Hulk Hogan, whose life story is similarly headline-grabbing.

After initially finding fame in Rocky III alongside Sylvester Stallone in 1983, Hulk went on to have a successful wrestling career, with his most iconic moment coming when he body slammed Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III in 1987.

But things hit a downward spiral when a sex tape was released which showed Hulk with his friend Bubba 'The Love Sponge' Clem's wife Heather Clem. Bubba and Heather split after the intimate footage was made public, while Hulk lost his contract with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) due to using a racist slur while in bed with Heather.

He was later awarded £108 million ($139 million) in damages for invasion of privacy.

Channel 5 have yet to reveal the confirmed line-up for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.
