Call The Midwife star Helen George has sp lit from her husband of three years, her publicist confirmed.

George, who is also set to appear on Strictly Come Dancing, parted ways with Oliver Boot "some time ago".

The pair met on set while filming Hotel Babylon and she married Boot in December 2012.

The new series of Strictly Come Dancing starts this Saturday.

Known as the "Strictly Curse", a host of celebrity contestants have spilt from partners either while competing on or following the show.

Countdown's Rachel Riley split from her husband of just over a year during the show, and X Factor presenter Caroline Flack split from Jack Street mid-show too.

Rugby player Ben Cohen made headlines recently when his romance with Strictly professional Kristina Rihanoff went public.

Cohen competed in the eleventh series of the show in 2013.

Cohen split from his wife Abby after 11 years of marriage last September.

The pair issued a statement saying: "Ben and Abby Cohen have agreed to take time apart to deal with some marital issues but remain fully committed to the welfare of their children."

"There is no third party involved, and Ben and Abby now ask that their privacy and that of their family be respected at this difficult time."

There have also been a number of dancer and celebrity romances including EastEnders' Kara Tointon and dancer Artem Chigvintsev, boxer Joe Calzaghe and dancer Rihanoff, Hollyoaks' Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna to name but a few.
