Calum Best apologises after missing two scheduled TV appearances

Calum Best said he's been "crazy ill" since he was evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house on Wednesday night (01Feb17).

Calum Best has offered his apologies after missing appearances on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side and Lorraine.

The 35-year-old was evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house on Wednesday night (01Feb17), and had been due to appear on the spin-off programme later that evening. However, he went AWOL, leaving host Rylan Clark-Neal to scramble and improvise due to his guests' absence.

Calum was also scheduled to appear on ITV morning show Lorraine on Thursday (02Feb17) but once again missed his slot, with host Lorraine Kelly telling viewers: "Calum's called and he's not well. Well, someone else called for him. We wish him all the best."

On Thursday night, Calum took to his Twitter page to offer an excuse for his absences, writing: "Sincerest apologies to @bbuk #bbbots and @ITVLorraine been crazy ill since leaving the house . Will make it up."

It was then revealed that Calum's appearance on Lorraine has been re-scheduled for Monday (06Feb17), with Lorraine's Twitter page replying to Calum's apology tweet: "Hope you're on the mend, @CalumBest! We'll be seeing you very soon! Sending hugs x"

He then replied: "See u (sic) Monday thank u."

Despite Calum's claim that he has been feeling under the weather since leaving the house, he was seen hitting the town with fellow former housemate Jamie O'Hara after his eviction on Wednesday, with the duo partying it up at a strip club in London.

Meanwhile, Rylan has reassured fans that he won't be leaving his role as host of CBBBOTS, after it was revealed he is going to front his own game show on ITV called Babushka.

"We will be back in the summer and I'm looking forward to it," he said during a Q&A session on Facebook Live. "I'm not leaving. Don't worry, everyone keeps saying, 'Oh he's leaving as he's got this new game show.' Don't worry, I'm not leaving. We will be back in the summer and I can't wait!"
