Calum Best misses Celebrity Big Brother spin-off appearance
Calum Best had been scheduled to appear on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side on Wednesday night (01Feb17), but didn't show up.
Calum Best went AWOL on Wednesday night (01Feb17) and was a no-show for his scheduled gig on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side.
As with other evicted housemates, Calum was due to be interviewed by Rylan Clark-Neal and answer questions from the audience on the spin-off show on Wednesday, the night after his Tuesday eviction.
But the 35-year-old lothario didn't turn up for his appearance on the Channel 5 show, throwing the programme into chaos.
Opening the show, Rylan told viewers: "We were supposed to have Calum Best on, but we genuinely don't know where he is. This ain't even a gag. This really ain't!"
Thinking on his feet, Rylan decided to make do without Calum by giving fan Barbara a chance to sit on the panel alongside Vicky Pattison, Luke Marsden and a blow-up doll with Calum's face on it.
"I had a little thought and thought who could I put in Calum Best's place tonight? It's got to be someone quite close to him," Rylan laughed. "So, I love her and I think she deserves this! So, please be upstanding for our very own Barbara!"
Calum made no reference to his absence from the programme on his Twitter page, but has been seen enjoying his new-found freedom by partying hard with former housemate Jamie O'Hara since his eviction.
Referencing Calum's late-night outings, Rylan later joked: "Maybe his new girlfriend kept him up all night?"
Meanwhile, the names competing for the Celebrity Big Brother crown in Friday night's final have now been confirmed. Coleen Nolan, Kim Woodburn, Bianca Gascoigne, Nicola McLean, James Cosmo and Jedward were all told that there will be no further evictions until the big night, meaning they are all finalists.
After Big Brother broke the happy news, the group shouted in excitement and started dancing around - all except James, who knew he was guaranteed a place in the final after he was given immunity from evictions earlier in the series.
