Cameron welcomes absurd antics

Cameron Diaz doesn't mind doing "absurd" things for films as she loves her job so much.

The American actress is currently starring in new movie Sex Tape, a story about a couple who decide to film themselves getting frisky and then accidently send the footage to their friends and family.

While Cameron and her co-star Jason Segel were required to get intimate on screen, the aspect the blonde actress struggled most with was not giggling.

"The most difficult thing was to get through some of the scenes without laughing," Cameron revealed to British newspaper Daily Mirror. "What I love about my job is that I get paid for doing really absurd things.

"Jason and I have the same sensibility and there’s nothing he won’t do – including performing a naked handstand."

Cameron, 42, is known for her washboard abs and toned physique so wasn't fazed by stripping off for the movie.

Similarly, getting close to Jason was no problem and the pair had no qualms about any of the script.

"We always talked everything through first so we didn’t just find ourselves at a point where we wanted to back out.

"I was willing to be however brave Jason was," she laughed.

The movie is based around the Apple programme iCloud, to which the video is uploaded and then shared.

In real life Cameron is a technophobe, and hides away when it comes to new gadgets.

"Technology hates me. I really don’t understand it and there’s nothing I have that actually works. I still use my BlackBerry because I know exactly what it does," she explained.

"But I’m taking it slowly with the iPhone, which I’m gradually building a relationship with. We’ve been getting to know each other over the past year and I’m starting to trust it more."
