Campbell faces contestant tantrums

Naomi Campbell has said she gives The Face contestants "tough love"

Supermodel Naomi Campbell found herself having to deal with someone else's temper tantrums for a change when two of the contestants on her new modelling show clashed.

The famously-fiery Londoner stepped in during the second episode of The Face and tells the girls they need "thicker skin" after a tearful confrontation between two of them.

She tells them: "I have said 'this is a competition' to all of you. You are not here to make friends, you came here to win and there is only one winner. Do you understand?"

Naomi admitted she was the toughest of the model mentors on the show, alongside fellow supermodel Erin O'Connor and Swedish model Caroline Winberg.

Naomi said: "I'm definitely the drill sergeant of the mentors and I give tough love to my girls, absolutely. But they know I love them. I push my girls, yes, I push them."

She also confessed: "I'm very competitive But it's not about me, it's about the girls, and one of them is going to become the Face."

The SkyLiving show, which starts on Monday September 30, sees 12 would-be models go head to head to win a contract with Max Factor.
