Cannon: I feel blessed to be alive
Nick Cannon has said he feels "blessed to be alive" after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.
The America's Got Talent host has battled health problems this year, including suffering mild kidney failure and being treated for blood clots on his lungs.
The 31-year-old, who is married to pop diva Mariah Carey, has now told People the kidney disease was a result of an "autoimmune disease that [doctors] found in my system," and the blood clots were directly connected to the kidney problem.
"The blood clot thing was probably the scariest because... I've known people who have passed away from that," said the star, who has nine-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his chart-topping wife.
However, Nick revealed he is now doing well and feeling positive.
The 31-year-old said: "I feel blessed to be alive. If it wasn't discovered, I don't know [what would have happened]."
