Cardinal Burns star proud of show

Sebastian Cardinal has had a good response to his new show

Sebastian Cardinal has revealed his pride at the feedback his TV show Cardinal Burns has received.

Comics Jack Whitehall and Sarah Millican have tweeted about the E4 comedy sketch show, which stars Sebastian with his sidekick Dustin Demri-Burns, with Jack calling it "amazing".

"We're delighted and quite overwhelmed with the response we've had from the series. What's also been great is we've been getting some lovely messages from comics that we've always admired who've been enjoying the show," said Sebastian.

"We weren't expecting such a positive reaction to the show. We had a few early screenings which went down well, but you never know if that's just because we're sitting with the audience."

Following the end of the first season, Sebastian is keeping tight-lipped about a rumoured second series.

"We've been asked whether there'll be a second series a lot, and obviously we'd be delighted if there was, but we just have to wait and see whether that'll happen," he said coyly.

The duo will be performing live while they wait for the green light on the next six-episode season.

"We've got a new live show that we'll be performing at the Udderbelly on Southbank on July 3. We'll also be going back up to the Edinburgh Fringe for a short run from August 20-25," he added.

:: The first series of Cardinal Burns will be available on DVD on June 18.
