Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have failed to put their feud behind them at an American Idol press conference, according to reports.
Footage emerged online last year of the panellists clashing during auditions, with Mariah accusing Nicki of threatening to shoot her during a row, which the Starships singer later appeared to deny in a tweet.
During a press conference in the US, Mariah told TV critics: "The fighting is what it is. This is American Idol. It's bigger than some stupid trumped-up thing," E! Online reported.
It was sort of a one-sided thing," Mariah said of the spat.
"No, it wasn't," Nicki apparently replied.
The two gave each other tense looks, before Mariah joked: "Well, at least we can agree on my shoes."
When asked at the Television Critics Association event how they made up, Nicki apparently replied: "I put on my sex tape."
Mariah rolled her eyes and said: "There it is... It's a distraction from the show and a distraction from the contestants. It's unfair to them. It shouldn't be about any of us, it should be about them. It's not supposed to be about us, it's about the contestants."
