Carly Rae Jepsen encourages Cohen cover

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen thinks it would be "a hoot" to watch Leonard Cohen perform her track Call Me Maybe.

The stomping pop anthem has shot Carly to fame around the world.

She is a huge fan of singer-songwriter Leonard, who is known for his moving lyrics which are usually laden with meaning. Carly insists that shouldn't stop him covering her track.

"I suspect it's not totally his genre, but it would be a hoot to watch him perform it! Although, to be honest, I don't know if I really want to see Leonard Cohen do anything but Famous Blue Raincoat on repeat," she told British newspaper The Guardian.

As well as talking about the people she looks up to, Carly spoke of those she doesn't like quite as much.

One of her teachers had a huge impact on the 26-year-old star.

"I remember having a maths teacher I was terrified of. He was grumpy all the time. On a day-to-day basis I try to surround myself with positive people," she said.
