Carly Rae Jepsen: I'm sister of the year

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen joked she was the "sister of the year" after setting up a meeting with her sibling and Justin Bieber.

The pop star was the flavour of the month after bringing her sister along to meet the teenage heartthrob, who she is currently on tour with.

Carly is the supporting act on Justin's Believe Tour and has discussed what life on the road is like.

"My sister came with me on tour recently and she got to do a meet and greet with Justin Bieber so I was the sister of the year. I'm on tour with Justin at the moment, on the Believe tour, it's crazy," Carly told BBC Radio 1. "I bring about 200 people with me on tour, just enough to have a big party sporadically. It's a good team of people. I'm lucky enough to travel with friends. I love sleeping on a bus overnight."

The 27-year-old songstress is looking forward to Christmas and taking a break from her demanding work schedule.

Carly is currently promoting her new single This Kiss and confessed she can't wait to relax with loved ones and overeat during the festive season.

"We're having a mini break for Christmas, as it is the season, after all," Carly laughed. "It is the season to eat turkey and wear pyjamas 24/7. I'm OK with the idea of putting on weight over Christmas. I'll just be plumper for a month. I'll wear loose sweaters."
