Carrey: New diet better than drugs
Jim Carrey has said he is feeling "blissful" after two weeks on a new detox diet.
The 51-year-old actor recently told People magazine he had hated dieting and working out to create an impressive physique for his latest role as a gay magician in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
But Jim has now found "peace" and "contentment" after cutting out wheat, dairy, sugar, coffee, soda, alcohol and tobacco, and said: "I believe this diet is more healing than drugs."
He tweeted: "Clarity!Contentment!Youthfullness! Longevity! This diet, though tough at first, gives me that! I eat eggs meat fish n veggies cooked in olive oil fruits nuts water tea wth honey or stevia gluten free crckrs n almond butter 4 snack.
"End of day14.Diet is kicking in.Feeling relaxed content and even blissfull, like i just got up from a good nap. Protein veg legumes rice fruit nuts water contain all we need 2b healthy happy n sharp minded."
When fans asked him what his diet was called, he said it didn't have a name, but joked: "If it makes u feel safer u can call it Wendy."
Earlier this month, Jim spoke to People magazine about dieting for his new film - in which he flaunts tight, toned abs - and confessed he hated it.
He said: "It's not a happy place to be. I'm back now. I've got Mr Cuddly back and we're happy.
"It's not a natural place to live in that kind of shape. It looks great. It's fantastic and gets a lot of attention, but you have to eat, like, antimatter, to stay in that kind of shape."
