Carson Daly is the proud father of a baby daughter.
Carson's girlfriend Siri Pinter has given birth to the couple's second child. Carson confirmed the news on his Facebook page, where he also revealed the name of the new family member.
"Tonight at 5:15 p.m. we welcomed the latest addition to our family. Etta Jones Daly weighs 8 lbs. and is beautiful!" Carson posted on Thursday.
"Mom was a rockstar, [three-and-a-half-year-old] Jackson James is a proud big bro, and Dad's drinking a cold one. Praise God (sic)."
The birth of The Voice host's little girl couldn't have been more fitting, as she picked the same day to make an appearance as the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). Carson spent many years working on the channel as a TV presenter.
On Tuesday, Siri, who is a food blogger, posted an entry about a Maternity Salad she was going to try the next day. The meal must have done the trick as she went into labour soon after eating it, just as she suspected.
"There is a restaurant in Studio City called Caioti Pizza Cafe. On their menu, they have something called the The "THE" Salad, also known as the Maternity Salad. Apparently, pregnant women flock there everyday to eat this famous dish that is supposed to induce labor," Siri blogged. "The ingredients are basic: romaine, watercress, gorgonzola, walnuts AND their super secret special dressing that you can purchase online. It's the dressing that apparently does the trick I'm going to eat it. Tomorrow. On the radio. Let's get this baby out of here, friends. All together now (sic)."
