Natalie Cassidy has told how she still loves her ex-fiance, despite the fact that he assaulted her.
Adam Cottrell, 31, was ordered by a court last month to do 120 hours unpaid work and made subject to a restraining order banning him from contacting the former EastEnders star.
Natalie, 28, told OK! magazine: "I'm still in love with Adam but I hate him for everything he's done."
She said: "I still have feelings for him."
But she added: "I can't see us getting back together because of everything that's happened."
Cottrell admitted assaulting Natalie, pleading guilty to two counts of assault and one of criminal damage.
The court heard that he attacked the actress when they were at home, once smearing her with mascara and striking her leg with a slipper, and during the second incident, grabbing her by the arms and ripping her top.
Cottrell also damaged their home in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, after Natalie, who played Sonia Jackson in EastEnders, left to stay with her family.
