Cate Blanchett is happy for people to believe she is "dull".
The Oscar-winning actress claims she is often perceived as a quiet and boring person away from the cameras. However, Cate is in no rush to change anyone's mind.
"There's a happy understanding that I am quite dull," Cate told In the Mixx host Gina Glickman Giordan at a party to celebrate her Gotham magazine cover. "I am sorry, I am prepared to keep that misconception alive."
Cate and her husband Andrew Upton are eager to keep a low-profile and have no interest in courting fame.
They have been working together on an adaptation of the theatre play Uncle Vanya.
Cate recently admitted that her personal life and career often intertwine.
"There is not a lot of separation between work and home life. The kids hang out at the theatre, and it all gets a bit muddled up, but it somehow works," the 43-year-old Australian beauty explained.
