Cattrall passes SATC love to Gort

Kim Cattrall gave Lindsey Gort tips on playing Samantha Jones

Kim Cattrall has given Lindsey Gort her blessing after she was cast as a younger version of her Sex And The City character Samantha Jones.

Lindsey will play the "ballsy, beautiful and sexy young woman" in the second series of the TV prequel, The Carrie Diaries.

"So happy u're playing Fearless Sam," Kim tweeted.

The 56-year-old also advised Lindsey on playing Samantha, saying: "The key 2 her is her heart. She never judges those she loves. Have a blast! Kimx."

Kim - who is starring in a London production of Tennessee Williams's Sweet Bird Of Youth - won two Screen Actors Guild awards for her portrayal of man-eater Samantha in Sex And The City and the two spin-off films, where she starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

Lindsey admitted she was honoured to receive a note from the star, tweeting back: "Thank you so much! what fabulous, amazingly sexy shoes to fill."

AnnaSophia Robb will reprise her role as the young Carrie Bradshaw in the second series, which returns to The CW in October.

Virgo:

Read the fine print on a contract. If you're not happy with the proposed terms of a deal, renegotiate. Don't be afraid to drive a hard bargain. You may not realise it, but you have a great deal of power. People are willing to pay good money for someone with your intelligence and experience. If you undersell yourself, you will set a dangerous precedent. Someone will ask you to do something that goes against your conscience. Obey your principles, even if it means making an enemy.More
