Channing Tatum: Baby debut wasn’t for publicity
Channing Tatum says he debuted his infant daughter to five million fans on Father’s Day to avoid getting hounded by paparazzi.
The 33-year-old White House Down actor and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum welcomed daughter Everly on May 31.
Shortly after the tot’s arrival, the couple posted a picture of themselves with her on Facebook to nearly five million people.
Channing reveals this move served as a protective measure.
“We didn’t want to go through a tabloid, we just wanted to let it out so paparazzi would… stop trying to hound us,” he told ET Canada. “You know, here it is, that’s it. Now, let us be.”
Channing claims he and Jenna are finding it a challenge to care of their newborn.
Apparently everyone in the household is physically exhausted, but he does his best to please his girls.
“[Jenna's] tired. Those first few months, it’s just ridiculous, just [taxing],” he explained. “All I can really do is just sit there and change diapers… and get them food. Whatever they want.”
Channing suggests he and Jenna may have more children in the very near future.
The parents want to experience the “amazing” feeling of welcoming a child into the world soon.
“We could possibly have some Irish twins, I don’t know, ” he mused.
