Channing Tatum 'puts fighter in chokehold'
Channing Tatum shocked guests at a Super Bowl party by putting a UFC champion in a chokehold.
The Hollywood hunk shocked revellers in the VIP area at New Orleans bar Saints and Sinners over the weekend after he became locked in a “wrestling match” with Cung Le. Guests became concerned Channing had lost his cool and even tried to separate the two men.
“They were putting each other in headlocks and chokeholds,” an onlooker told New York Post.
The pair continued to tussle and even performed a “series of scary jujitsu moves” before they broke apart and started laughing.
“At the end of their match, the two gave each other a big bear hug, and everyone realised they are friends,” the source explained.
It turns out Channing and Cung have been pals since 2009, when they appeared together in the action movie Fighting.
After the friendly scuffle the stars happily posed for photos and beefcake Channing even put Cung in an impressive chokehold for one shot.
The 32-year-old Magic Mike actor attended the party without his pregnant wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, who decided to stay in Los Angeles.
Channing had a great time at the bash, throwing Mardi Gras beads from a balcony down to excited fans below and sporting a black mask that “looked like a prop from Fifty Shades of Grey” at one point in the evening.
Channing is currently promoting his new movie Side Effects, a crime thriller which also stars Jude law, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Rooney Mara.
