Channing Tatum needs his wife Jenna to help him feel sexy.

The actor is currently driving fans crazy by getting his kit off for stripper flick Magic Mike XXL. And while his bulging muscles are going down well, the 35-year-old doesn't feel inherently attractive.

"I don't run around thinking, 'Man, I'm great!'" he laughed to German magazine Gala. "It's not like that. Every single person only really feels sexy when they're desired by someone else. I feel sexy because my wife thinks I'm sexy."

The lucky lady who put a ring on Channing is Jenna Dewan-Tatum, 34, who starred alongside him in Step Up. They fell in love on set and married in 2009, now raising two-year-old daughter Everly together.

Thanks to his role in Magic Mike, Jenna has had to put up with her husband's intense beauty regime - which included a spot of waxing. After the first instalment of the sexy dance film in 2012, Channing vowed never to touch the strips again but then his co-star persuaded him otherwise.

"It's my colleague Matt Bomer's fault that I gave it another go!" he laughed. "He told me I'd gone to the wrong lady for my wax, which is why it hurt so much. But it was just as painful! I'm never waxing again!"

And what will little Everly make of seeing her father primped and preened on screen? Channing believes he has it covered.

"She's gonna see it [Magic Mike]; there's no way I could shelter her from it. I'm setting aside money for college and for therapy," he previously joked to People magazine.
