Charlie Sheen says Denise Richards is "still a knock out".
Denise and Charlie have two daughters, with the actress filing for divorce in 2005.
The actor has explained why he chose his ex-wife to appear in his TV series Anger Management.
"She is still a knock out and that's what the part called for and I can deal with her directly not through her agent, which was good," Charlie joked. "No, it just made sense - we had talked about her possibly playing the ex-wife. She is my ex-wife for real, we thought it might be too much but we are just getting along so well these days..."
Charlie and Denise's divorce was turbulent, with the actress claiming Charlie was violent and abused drugs and alcohol during their time together. The pair have grown close again now.
"She just came in and did a fabulous job," Charlie explained. "She looked great and it was fun to do that in front of our children, get them to see what their parents do for living, what pays for all those toys!"
Anger Management will air in the UK on Comedy Central from September 12 at 9pm.
