Pharrell Williams shared the spotlight with Bono as he picked up a prestigious award at a music industry bash.

The US superstar, who has been involved in a string of massive hits including Blurred Lines and Get Lucky, was joined by the U2 frontman as he picked up the Raymond Weil International Award at the O2 Silver Clef Awards.

He said: "It always meant the same thing that it means now, it feels amazing."

Other winners include long-serving duo Chas and Dave who picked up the Icon Award at the event, organised by music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, at the London Hilton.

Former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page won the O2 Silver Clef Award, Sir Tom Jones was presented with the Sony Mobile Lifetime Achievement Award, and Laura Mvula was named best newcomer.
