Chastain: Grandma’s my Oscars date again
Jessica Chastain has revealed that she will be bringing her grandmother to the Academy Awards for the second year in a row.
The actress stars in Zero Dark Thirty, which has already earned her a Golden Globe award for best actress and an Oscar nomination in the same category.
The awards ceremony will take place within a few weeks and Jessica is happy to bring her family’s matriarch along to the bash.
"I'm going to take my grandmother to the Oscars," she told ET Online.
"We did that last year and it was one of my favourite days of my life."
Jessica’s grandmother was elated to be her granddaughter’s date in 2012.
The actress ensured that the day was extra special and will probably do something similar this year.
“She's so excited,” Jessica gushed to E! Online at the time.
“She's getting her nails done, her hair done and she's got a dress picked out.”
“We're probably go for a walk in the morning and go to a coffee shop I live close to. It's all going to be really meaningful because she's the one who took me to my first play when I was a little kid. She's always been so supportive of me.”
The 85th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center and hosted by Seth MacFarlane.
