Cher ‘touched’ by dance

Cher got emotional during a dance performance to one of her songs on Monday night’s Dancing With the Stars.

The 67-year-old superstar has spent five decades in the spotlight, and last night she stepped in as a performer and guest judge on US TV show Dancing With the Stars, filling Len Goodman’s usual seat.

The remaining celebrity contestants danced to Cher’s biggest hits, and she was particularly touched by actress Leah Remini and dance partner Tony Dovolani’s Viennese waltz to her 1965 duet with her late ex-husband Sonny Bono.

“It was really, really sweet. I mean to see an interpretation in dance of something that touched my heart. It was very nostalgic. It made me very ‘Aw shucks,’” she told Extra TV.

Cher also confessed she thinks Sonny may be haunting her.

The singer, who has opened up about the spooky happenings in her home in the past, recalled how a light suspiciously turns off, then suddenly comes back on.

“I think he’s screwing with my chandelier, I’m almost positive. Just one chandelier that I have and I just think ‘Do you know what it must be you.’ It never did this before!” she exclaimed.

“I bought this new chandelier and I think, it just came to my mind, I just get this little feeling. It goes on in the middle of the night when the switch is down, on and up, on and up, and it would just be like him to do it,” she laughed.

Cher previously insisted she believes Sonny’s presence is a friendly one, insisting her words in a previous interview were misconstrued.

“He's just being Son...He's €%*!¥ With Me,” she tweeted last month, adding, “Funny Still Feel Presence.”

Sonny passed away in January 1998 after a skiing accident near Lake Tahoe, California.

The former couple were married from 1964 to 1975 and had one child together, Chastity Bono, now known as Chaz.
