Cheryl Cole yesterday handled her first Press conference since her split from husband Ashley — who was strictly persona non grata.
Danish journalists conducted interviews with the singer in Copenhagen but were firmly instructed by her camp to keep questioning about her music, and were informed her relationship woes must not be mentioned.
Mrs Cole then headed off to spend the afternoon rehearsing ahead of her live Danish X Factor performance of Fight For This Love tonight.
The Girls Aloud star’s stay in the Scandinavian country has been decidedly low key despite the constant attention of tabloid photographers.
She has looked drained and emotional in recent days, particularly as she made her way through Copenhagen airport on Thursday evening.
Meanwhile it has been reported that Cheryl will be offered a six-figure pay cheque to star in the sequel to crime thriller Dead Man Running.
According to a spokesman for Revolver Entertainment, the firm that is behind the project, plans are afoot to recruit the X Factor judge for the follow-up. "There is a character Cheryl is perfect for and we are holding meetings over the next few weeks to discuss exactly what we can offer her. It will be a sizeable sum," the spokesman said.
Dead Man Running starred 50 Cent, Danny Dyer and Brenda Blethyn — and was actually produced by Cole's estranged husband Ashley and his England teammate Rio Ferdinand.
It is unclear if England defenders Cole or Ferdinand will be back for Dead Man Running 2. Love cheat Ashley is reported to be convinced his wife will take him back when the pair meet up in France next week.
Other sources, however, claim the singer will start a new life in Los Angeles.
