Cheryl Cole has left hospital after spending 11 days being treated for malaria. The Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge has now returned to her home in Hurtmore, Surrey.

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital on July 4 after being struck down with the deadly disease.

She was then quickly transferred to the Hospital For Tropical Diseases specialist unit at University College Hospital in central London as her condition worsened dramatically.

However, as her condition improved she was transferred back to a private clinic in London six days ago.
