Chloë Sevigny looking for therapist

Chloë Sevigny has been texting her friends to get therapist recommendations.

The actress has received counselling in the past and feels like she would benefit from going again. She struggles with self-image issues and is hoping one of her pals can help her.

"No [I'm not in therapy now]. I actually texted my friend this morning asking if she knew a shrink I can try again," she said. "There was [a] woman therapist I went to who made me hate my mom - apparently they do that so they can take over that role."

Chloë had other issues with that counsellor too. The 37-year-old wasn't convinced by some of the advice she was given.

"I was talking to her about my anxieties, how seeing pictures of myself can bring that on - everything that comes with being a person in public - and I said, 'I feel so self-centred and self-obsessed.' And she said, 'Well, you are.' I said, 'Really? Isn't that what I'm here for? To talk about myself? Isn't that what therapy is about,'" she told Psychologies magazine.
