Chris Hemsworth: It's downhill from here
Chris Hemsworth has discussed the most exciting thing about being named 2014's Sexiest Man Alive.
People magazine bestowed the title on the Thor hunk last year and at the time Chris revealed he was planning to use it to his advantage at home. He is married to Elsa Pataky and they have two-year-old daughter India and ten-month-old twins Tristan and Sasha, with Chris hoping the honour would mean he could skip diaper duties for a while.
"Well, it got me bragging rights at my house for 24 hours and then my wife put me back to work. She thinks it's as funny as I do," he told British magazine Hello! "The best thing is that now I've won it, I can settle back, eat, drink, and let myself go."
Having three young children has been a real eye-opener for Chris, although now he can't really remember what his life was like before he was a dad. He loves being with his little ones, but understands it's vital to make time for Elsa too. Luckily their family are great when it comes to babysitting duties
"Having the grandparents around is the key. We have so many people coming and going that it's easy just to keep being around other people and never have your own time but we make a point of having a night for us, where we do the things we did before - go to dinner or the movies. Going to the movies is one of our favourite things to do," he said.
And it looks like Chris' dream of waving goodbye to dirty diapers hasn't come to fruition either. He explained he and Elsa have decided to "share the duties" because they are entirely aware no one else is going to want to help them out.
Chris' Sexiest Man Alive title was announced on US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! in November. He appeared on the programme to mark the occasion, and explained that his The Hunger Games star brother Liam had been giving him some support.
"Liam has been good. We've been throwing sexy looks back and forth kind of workshopping what could work so he's been a real team player for this one," he joked.
