Chris Hemsworth’s three year old daughter India is so obsessed with his most famous alter ego, Thor, she once refused to take her own mini-me costume off.

Chris Hemsworth’s daughter once refused to take off her Thor costume.

The 32 year old actor is most famous for playing the hammer-wielding superhero in 2011’s Thor and Marvel’s Avengers movies.

Chris is father to three year old India Rose and 19 month old twins Sasha and Tristan with wife Elsa Pataky, and he admits his eldest child is slightly obsessed with his Nordic alter ego.

“Once, India’s friend had on a Spider-Man costume, so she put on a Thor costume,” Chris told America’s Glamour magazine. “Of course she wouldn’t take it off. Thankfully, there weren’t any paparazzi – you can imagine the headline: ‘Forces Child to Wear Thor Costume.’”

It seems India’s opinions about the Thor costume, which involves a metal breastplate and Chris wearing a long blond wig, change fairly frequently.

In an interview earlier this year (15), the actor admitted that while India likes the oufit, she doesn’t like to see dad wearing it.

“My daughter, with the Thor costume especially, used to be like, 'Oh yeah, it's a bit different' and she was happy that I'd pick her up and swing her around,” Chris told Sorted magazine.

"Now, she's like, 'Off, off' because it's all bulky and metal, and she pulls at the wig, she doesn't like the look."

Chris and Elsa are both successful actors in their own rights, with Elsa most famous for her role in the Fast and Furious films.

And Australian Chris says he loves being able to share career notes with his spouse.

“It’s when (Elsa) forgets she’s watching me on the screen that I know I’ve succeeded,” Chris added to Glamour magazine. “Someone who knows you better than anyone is able to be swept away in an illusion? That’s always a nice trick.”

Chris can next be seen in upcoming movie In the Heart of the Sea – a role which required him to lose a significant amount of weight.
