Chris Hemsworth predicts his and actress wife Elsa Pataky’s daughter India Rose will be a surfer in the future because she “has an attraction to the surfboards in the house”.

The Thor actor welcomed baby India Rose with his actress wife Elsa Pataky last year.

Australia native Chris loves the beach and is often near the ocean.

Although she can’t even walk yet, apparently India has taken after her father and is actively demonstrating an interest in water sports.

“She has an attraction to the surfboards in the house. She loves crawling on them,” Chris told People magazine.

The star reveals that swimming in the ocean together is a family affair.

Although little India is adventurous she has never been left unsupervised in open water.

“[She goes out] with support — not on her own!” he clarified.

“We spent a lot of time in the water. [India's not swimming] just yet. She’s only 11 months!”

Charity organisation Oceana is fully committed to cleaning our oceans.

Chris wholeheartedly supports the charity’s mission, as he realises the value in keeping seas immaculate.

“It’s really important to us as a family, and as parents, to preserve the ocean. It’s so beautiful, and so important,” he said.

“Especially as a parent, you start to see how important it is.”
