Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow 'sign divorce papers'
Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow are said to have signed divorce papers two years after the famous announcement of their "conscious uncoupling".
The Coldplay frontman and the Oscar-winning actress are expected to share custody of children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine.
They are also likely to split their joint wealth.
A source told The Sun: "Chris has now signed the divorce papers."
The insider added: "There is no bad blood between him and Gwyneth and they remain very close. As ever, their number one priority is their kids."
During a recent interview with the Sunday Times, Martin described his relationship with Paltrow as a "very wonderful separation-divorce".
Following the release of Coldplay's 2015 album A Head Full Of Dreams, Martin said he had "lived a lot of life" since the two decided to go their separate ways.
He described his divorce as "a weird one".
Since separating from Paltrow, 43, the two have remained close and still spend holidays together with the children.
"So I was with them, and it was just lovely," he added, recalling a recent trip away.
While Martin, 39, stressed that his relationship with his ex-wife remained amicable, Coldplay associate Phil Harvey said the singer had suffered a "really bleak period" following the parting.
He said the singer had been "in pain and struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel".
"We were all worried about him - the band, his family. When someone's really, really low and on their own a lot, as a friend, your mind goes to the worst-case scenario," Harvey stated.
"That period didn't last for ever, but there was a time when we were all regularly checking in on him, just trying to make sure he wasn't on his own."
Adjusting to life outside of marriage, Martin revealed that he has made many lifestyle changes since separating from the Hollywood star, including giving up vegetarianism.
