Chris Pratt can’t believe he is now a major movie star earning big money.

Chris Pratt says everything about his life is more “fun” since he became a Hollywood movie star.

The 36-year-old actor has seen his career go into overdrive after landing lead roles in films such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World. Chris couldn’t be more grateful for his success, but he isn’t about to forget about his humble beginnings.

“Everything is a lot more fun,” he told Britain’s Heat magazine. “For a guy like me, who was doing summer theatre for next to no money, and now being able to earn big paychecks, it’s an incredible ride.”

Chris is particularly proud to have been involved with the latest instalment of the Jurassic franchise, and is set to reprise his role as Owen in a currently untitled Jurassic World sequel, set for release in 2018. He has fond memories of watching the original blockbuster dinosaur film when he was a teenager in 1993.

“Oh yeah, everybody I knew was going to see the movie,” he smiled when asked if he went to see Jurassic Park when it was first released. “I was 13 at the time and I remember taking my then-girlfriend to the movie. But unfortunately, we noticed that her parents happened to be sitting two rows behind us. I don’t think they enjoyed the movie very much because they were much more interested in watching what we might be doing.”

With a host of movies due for release under his belt and a happy home life with his wife, actress Anna Faris, and their three-year-old son Jack, Chris has plenty to feel happy about right now. He admits the success in both his career and private life are more than he could ever have hoped for.

“It’s been beyond anything I had a reasonable right to dream about,” Chris added. “I’ve gone from being a guy living out of a van in Hawaii with not a cent to my name and no real idea about what I was going to do with my life, to becoming a movie star with a beautiful wife and a son. I’m happy.”
