Chris Pratt may miss PCAs
Chris Pratt could be a no show at the People’s Choice Awards because it clashes with his son’s eye surgery.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star’s wife Anna Faris is co-hosting the ceremony on January 7 alongside Alison Janney.
And while Anna is keen for Chris to accompany her to the event, she has revealed the awards clash with surgery that their two-year-old son Jack is having on his eye.
"I want my husband to come with me, but I also want to walk the red carpet with Alison,” Anna told Entertainment Tonight Canada. “Our sweet son, on a more serious note, is having eye surgery so he may be at home with him, but I'd love to see him."
However, Anna also revealed that it may be better for her if Chris doesn’t attend.
She added that she sometimes feels she can’t live up to her husband, whose next screen role will see him star in the latest Jurassic Park instalment.
"He is intimidating,” Anna laughed. “Sometimes I just want him to stay at home. My movie star husband!"
But whether or not Chris makes it to the awards, Anna can be safe in the knowledge that she won’t walk the red carpet alone.
The beauty is hoping that her co-host and Mom co-star Alison will step in and take Chris’ place.
"I am going to walk the red carpet with my co-star, co-host Allison Janney," Anna said.
Anna and Chris’ Jack has had various health problems since he was born prematurely two years ago, weighing just 3lbs. 12oz.
The actors have previously revealed that doctors told them at the time that Jack may have special needs, and may also need corrective surgery on his eyes.
But Chris said in a recent interview that he and Anna are thrilled with how well their offspring is doing.
“Our Jack went from a small, helpless little squirt to a strong, smart, happy, funny, beautiful boy who loves monster trucks and Daniel Tiger, and, believe it or not, loves vegetables,” Chris said at an event last December.
