Chris Rock and estranged wife Malaak Compton-Rock reportedly appeared in front of a judge on Monday (22Aug16) to finalise their divorce.

Chris Rock and Malaak Compton-Rock have reportedly finalised their divorce.

The 51-year-old comedian and Malaak, who have two children together, Lola, 14, and Zahra, 12, and a child called Ntombi that they took in from South Africa back in 2008, split in December 2014 after 18 years of marriage.

According to, the former couple both appeared before a judge on Monday (22Aug16) and had the divorce officially confirmed.

The outlet reports the case remains sealed, so details of how much Chris paid his ex are unclear. However, it was previously reported that he was due to pay Malaak upwards of $20 million (£15 million). It is also unknown how much Chris will pay in child support for his two biological children, as well as if he will pay anything to support Ntombi.

Chris has been dating actress Megalyn Echikunwoke since last year (15), but they didn’t make their public debut as a couple until February (16).

Chris has no plans to tie the knot again though. The funnyman told crowds during a stand-up comedy set in New York City last month that another marriage is not on the cards for him.

"Not even if it cured the whole world's AIDS," he said.

Megalyn, who has had recurring roles in shows 24, CSI: Miami and 90210, was most recently seen in TV series Vixen.
