Chrissy Teigen shares first picture of baby Luna
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have nicknamed their daughter "Lulu", the model revealed as she shared the first picture of the tot on her Instagram page.
Chrissy Teigen has debuted the first picture of newborn daughter Luna.
Chrissy and musician husband John Legend welcomed their first child together last Thursday (14Apr16). Following Luna's birth, both the couple have been relatively quiet on their social media pages. However, on Tuesday (19Apr16), Chrissy delighted fans as she shared an adorable snap of the family's new addition.
In the picture, a make-up free Chrissy, dressed in a black bra and leggings, cradles Luna, who is wearing just a diaper, and draped in a cream muslin. The 30-year-old beams with happiness as she gazes at her daughter, with her hand placed tenderly on the baby's head.
The couple's French bulldog Pippa is seen in the foreground, looking entirely unconcerned by the new arrival.
"Hi my lulu!" Chrissy captioned the adorable picture.
Chrissy's mother Vilailuck Teigen also shared a picture of herself holding her new granddaughter in the same setting, writing "Lulu and me" with several baby and heart emojis.
The stunning star previously revealed she wouldn't be following in the footsteps of her peers by posting shots of her baby's feet or back, and if she was going to share a social network shot, it would be a full picture.
"I’m not going to do sneaky back shots of her or anything,” she told People. "It’s important for me and John to protect some bits of us, but it’s hard to say. I didn’t think I would be the person sharing bump photos, so who knows. I could be totally wrong here."
Chrissy and All of Me singer John had tried unsuccessfully to conceive naturally before undergoing IVF in a bid to fall pregnant. Now they have safely welcomed a beautiful daughter into the world, they are apparently "walking on air".
“John and Chrissy have been wanting this for a long time,” a source told People of the pair. “From the minute they found out she was pregnant, they’ve been walking on air. Now the baby makes their family even more joyful and happy."
