Christina came home to a gorgeous pink, black and white two-tiered cake from Vanilla Bakeshop in Beverly Hills and several smiling faces.

"There were tons of balloons throughout the house," a source told Us Weekly magazine.

"Christina was completely surprised. She was very happy."

The guests sang a loving rendition of the Happy Birthday song when she walked through the door.

Partygoers such as Blake Shelton and Nicole Richie enjoyed macaroni and cheese, chili dogs, deviled eggs and a host of other finger foods while they partied and chatted.

"Everyone was very friendly and got along well," the source said.

"They had a great time."
