Newlywed celebrity couple Christine Bleakley and Frank Lampard have jetted off to Dubai for a 'working honeymoon' as the footballer picked up an award for his sporting career.

The couple arrived in the Middle East on Sunday as the stunning 36-year-old Northern Irish broadcaster and her footballing husband kicked-off their honeymoon with a special day for the New York City FC player.

The pair tied the knot just before Christmas at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge.

The ceremony was followed by an intimate but star-studded reception at exclusive London venue The Arts Club and the bride wore a bespoke gown by designer Suzanne Neville.

As the 37-year-old former England midfielder picked up his Player Career Award, the Newtownards beauty kept a low profile. But Lampard took to Instagram yesterday during the Chelsea game to share a photo of the pair with his daughters Luna (10) and Isla (8).

Captioning the picture, he showed that the family still found time to watch his former team by writing: "Watching the Chelsea away game with the new wife and kids."

Christine changed her surname on social media to Lampard and posted a picture of the family watching the Chelsea game.

"The girls are loving it!" she tweeted.
