Claire Danes and her husband are currently "looking for apartments in the city."
The 33-year-old Emmy-nominated Homeland star and her husband British actor Hugh Dancy confirmed earlier this month that they are expecting their first child together.
Claire and Hugh are intent on raising their baby in the Big Apple.
"They are definitely going to keep looking for new apartments in the city where they can raise a kid," a source told Us Weekly magazine.
"They are New Yorkers and plan on being New York parents."
Since their marriage in 2009 Claire and Hugh have reportedly desired to have a child. The couple appreciate the timing of this pregnancy.
"Hugh and Claire decided a while back that they were going to have a child together," the insider explained.
"But they wanted to work their schedules around it."
The pair are elated about becoming parents.
"Hugh is so excited to be a dad," the source said. "They are going to be amazing parents!"
