Claire Danes and her husband Hugh Dancy are celebrating the birth of their firstborn child.
People magazine reports that the 33-year-old Homeland star and her actor spouse welcomed son Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy on Monday December 17.
Throughout Claire's term, the couple kept the details of the pregnancy close to their chests.
The location of Cyrus' birth and his weight has not yet been revealed, but it is thought that mother and baby are doing exceptionally well.
In People's upcoming year-end double issue, Claire said that she was very much looking forward to "getting to know our new Dancy" in the New Year.
Claire, who won an Emmy Award this year for her work in Showtime drama Homeland, has spoken previously about her thoughts on becoming a mother.
"I'm excited. It's abstract still; there's nothing much to do at this point but be healthy, incubate and take it as it comes, but I feel totally ready," she told the UK edition of InStyle magazine.
