Clint Eastwood: I don't text

Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood has never sent a text message.

The American actor continues to work, despite having reached the grand age of 82.

The star is on top form professionally, but admits he is a little behind when it comes to modern technology.

"I use my cell phone only in emergencies," he confessed to German magazine TV Movie.

"And I have never sent a text message in my life."

Clint stars alongside Amy Adams in drama Trouble with the Curve, playing a grumpy elderly man.

The star is very conscious of his health and practises a vegan lifestyle, which could be the reason he is ageing so well.

"Every old man is grumpy!" he laughed.

"Up until now I have been enjoying my age... I hit the gym and read the articles from American Journal of Medicine."

The star continues to produce a steady stream of movies, including hits Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino.

Despite temporarily considering retirement, it doesn't seem like Clint will be giving up acting any time soon.

"Do I plan to quit my job? In the '70s I thought about it... But then my career took a different direction and everything turned out well," he explained.
