Clooney conjuring surprise for Fey
George Clooney has “a little surprise” in store for Golden Globes co-host Tina Fey.
The actor was the subject of one of the Golden Globes co-host’s jokes at the ceremony last weekend.
And the star admits it didn’t take him long to hear she had made fun of his penchant for younger women.
"I didn't get to see it live, I was in Vancouver hanging off of a wire about 30 feet up in the air. But by the time I got down off of the wire [the joke] was already around the set," he told E! News during a press interview for The Monuments Men.
Tina had stars guffawing when she took aim at George with co-host Amy Poehler.
Describing the plot of his movie Gravity, she mused: "[It's] the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age."
George has dated a string of gorgeous women including Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis, Lisa Snowdon and Stacy Keibler.
While the 52-year-old actor took the joke in stride, he said Tina should now expect “a little surprise” of her own.
"Oh, I've been working on it. She might have poked the bear with the stick,” he mused.
George recently opened up about his love life, revealing it still eludes him.
Despite dating numerous gorgeous women, the actor said he’s still waiting for “the one”.
“I haven’t met her yet,” he told W magazine while reminiscing about his boyhood crushes.
“When I was a kid, I was in love with Audrey Hepburn. I watched Roman Holiday when I was 11, and I thought she was as elegant as anything I’d ever seen. And I fell madly in love with her.
“I also always loved Grace Kelly. I mean, when she comes out of the water in To Catch a Thief, I thought, ‘That’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.’”
