Clooney’s ‘perfect match’
George Clooney has “found the perfect partner in Amal Alamuddin”.
The actor is reportedly engaged to the British lawyer, after years of bachelorhood. And Amal is said to be perfect for the Monuments Men star.
"It's actually not that surprising. He likes a woman with brains and class," a source tells Us Weekly. "She's the full package. His first wife Talia came from a good family and was very smart herself. He's happy and found his ideal match. He didn't settle, so good for him."
George was married once before to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993. He was most recently linked to Elisabetta Canalis and Stacy Keibler, but Amal would make the first fiancée since Talia.
The actor has made it clear over the years that marriage is not a priority, and he doesn’t consider it to be a goal a life.
"I haven’t had aspirations in that way, ever," he told Esquire in December 2013. "I was married in 1989. I wasn’t very good at it. I don't talk about it because I don't think about it. I don't ever question other peoples' versions of how they live their lives or what they do."
Neither George or Amal have confirmed their engagement, but apparently it’s “forever”. The couple are said to want to keep things discrete for as long as possible.
"George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem. I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever," a source told People magazine.
