Clooney’s ‘unpredictable surprise’

George Clooney and supposedly took his fiancée Amal Alamuddin on a wild midnight trip.

The 53-year-old actor is currently engaged to wed 36-year-old lawyer Amal Alamuddin and it is expected they will tie the knot this fall.

It is claimed George turned up unannounced at Amal’s London home Wednesday night to whisk her away for a private tour.

“George took Amal completely by surprise. He turned up at nearly midnight after jetting into Heathrow,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“George literally told Amal to grab some clothes before they jumped in a cab down to Surrey.

“She thought it was so romantic, she loves how unpredictable he is. The set visit to Downton Abbey was the icing on the cake of a crazy few hours.”

Speculation is rife George has already selected his best man for the wedding.

Although George is said to be best friends with Brad Pitt, apparently he chose Matt Damon to be the groom’s chief attendant.

“A lot of people thought Brad was a certainty to be George’s best man as they have been such good friends for years. But he is probably even closer to Matt,” a source explained to the outlet previously.

“Besides, many years ago, during one drunken night together, George made a promise to Matt that he would make him his best man if he ever got married – so Matt called to claim his prize.”

The Monuments Men star and Amal are reportedly planning a September wedding at George’s home in Lake Como, Italy.
