Coldplay's Chris Martin trains with Conor McGregor's coach in Dublin

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been training with Conor McGregor's coach John Kavanagh in Dublin following the band's gig in the city.

The band performed a sell-out show at Croke Park on Saturday night.

Following the massive concert, Martin headed to Straight Blast Gym on Monday for a private training session.

Kavanagh posted a picture of himself posing with the singer to Instagram with the caption: "Good training today with my boy Chris Martin @coldplay kicks like a donkey but needs bit of work on his uppercuts."

He also shared a post on Facebook with the pun heavy caption: "Had Chris In My Place today. It went Something Just Like This.

"He said the mats were too Yellow so trained in the ring. I thought I was in Trouble when he hit me at the Speed of Sound. I almost saw a Sky Full of Stars.

"I said relax mate I am The Scientist, Don't Panic I will Fix You. Sadly we checked the Clocks and he had to leave. It was an Adventure of a Lifetime. Just another day in Paradise."
